We are currently looking for our futureSenior Specialist Legal Consolidation (m/f/d)based in Blieskastel or Obernai for a permanent contract.
In this role, you will support the preparation of the Group’s consolidated financial statements under German GAAP (HGB) while playing a key role in the continuous improvement of intercompany governance, accounting policies, and finance processes across the Hager Group.
Your Key Responsibilities
Group Consolidation
- Support the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement and Cash Flow Statement).
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with HGB.
- Perform consolidation entries and analyses, ensuring the quality and accuracy of reported financial information.
- Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances as part of the consolidation process.
- Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and reporting standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of consolidation processes, guidelines and systems, including Tagetik.
- Support the production of notes to the financial statements and sections of the annual report.
Intercompany Management & Governance
- Drive the continuous improvement and harmonization of intercompany processes across the Hager Group.
- Monitor and coordinate periodic intercompany reconciliations using the ICMR (Intercompany Matching & Reconciliation) tool.
- Ensure timely identification, analysis and resolution of intercompany differences in collaboration with local finance teams.
- Promote compliance with Group intercompany policies and procedures.
- Monitor intercompany recharge processes and ensure they are complete, transparent and aligned with contractual agreements and transfer pricing principles.
- Develop and monitor KPIs aimed at improving the efficiency and quality of intercompany processes.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to intercompany transactions.
Accounting & Finance Procedures Manual Governance
- Maintain and continuously improve the Hager Group Accounting & Finance Manual.
- Update and develop Group accounting policies, procedures and accounting guidelines.
- Manage and enhance the Group Chart of Accounts to support harmonized financial reporting.
- Ensure the consistent documentation and communication of accounting standards and best practices across all Group entities.
- Analyze new accounting and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical Group-wide policies and procedures.
- Support local finance teams in the application of accounting policies and the interpretation of Group accounting guidance.
- Contribute to the standardization and simplification of accounting processes throughout the Group.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with local finance teams across the Hager Group.
- Support the Head of Legal Consolidation during monthly, quarterly and annual closing cycles.
- Act as a key contact for intercompany accounting and consolidation matters.
- Collaborate with Controlling, Tax, Treasury and other finance functions across the organization.
- Work closely with the “Process & Solution Project Manager General Ledger” to support Finance transformation initiatives and the implementation of General Ledger process improvements.
- Contribute to special projects such as Pillar Two, Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR), finance governance initiatives and digital transformation programs.
- Support the automation and optimization of accounting, consolidation and reporting processes.
Your Profile
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
- 10-15 years of professional experience in Group Accounting, Consolidation or External Audit.
- Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and consolidation principles.
- Experience with intercompany accounting processes within an international group environment is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with consolidation systems, ideally Tagetik.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for process improvement and finance transformation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different countries and functions.
- Fluency in English and good command of German and or French.
