As an Area Sales Manager, you are responsible for driving revenue growth from products and solutions within the assigned geography and customer segments, expanding market share, improving profitability, and building strong, long-term relationships with customers and channel partners to win and successfully execute project orders.
Your mission
- Achieve monthly targets for revenue, order booking and collections in line with the business plan for the allocated area.
- Develop and manage a strong project pipeline to ensure sustainable short- and long-term growth.
- Identify, onboard and grow new customers in the residential and commercial segments, while maintaining a focused top-customer portfolio.
- Drive solution and value-based selling with builders, contractors, consultants and end customers.
- Manage selected channel partners for project routing and stock orders, including timely payment collection.
- Provide accurate forecasting and market intelligence on trends, competitors and customer requirements.
Your profile
- Engineering degree from a reputed institution; MBA in Marketing is an advantage.
- 7–10 years of sales experience, including at least 5 years in the electrical switchgear industry.
- Strong expertise in project business; pure channel management profiles are not considered.
- Solid technical understanding with the ability to present product and solution value propositions.
- Proven discipline in reporting, forecasting and project tracking.
- Fluent in local language, Hindi and English, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
