We are currently looking for our futureStrategic Cycle Senior Manager (m/f/d) based in Obernai or Blieskastel for a permanent contract.
Your mission
Own and continuously improve strategic processes:
- Own and further develop group-level processes for strategy definition including alignment of functional / business roadmaps with overall strategy, i.e.: P2030, Sprint 3, Strategic Deep Dives, Chessboard etc.
- Processes for strategy deployment / execution incl. operating model / tool / governance thereof and rules for follow ups and measurement of achievements, i.e.: overall strategy, strategic priorities, business models, enablers, …
- Design and implement feedback loops and continuously improve the effectiveness and simplicity of the processes
- Ín close collaboration with Quality function, document, maintain and update all relevant process maps, governance models and guiding principles in the Hager Group Management System (GMS)
Lead end-to-end and orchestrate the Chessboard process (key process to align stakeholders around the strategic priorities):
- Align and coordinate key stakeholders (Market Areas, PPDs, Strategy and other contributors)
- Define objectives, required inputs, standardized outputs, timing and quality criteria
- Shape content, topics, agenda, participation rules; ensure right level of strategic depth
- Supervise preparations to secure efficient Chessboard meetings and high-quality outcomes
- Actively participate into relevant meetings, driving alignment and constructively challenging outcomes to ensure consistency with strategic targets, growth ambitions and volume / market shares objectives
- Ensure Chessboard outputs are:
- Supported by clear and measurable action plans
- Properly documented, i.e. MA playbooks, product roadmaps, financial / volume ambitions, …
- Formally aligned with Operations (via PPDs)
- Effectively cascaded to relevant functions and governance bodies
- Monitor and govern strategy execution
- Support effective strategy deployment and communication
- Monitor execution progress, action status, risks and dependencies
- Follow up the defined KPIs / metrics and risks in line with the defined governance
- Prepare and deliver clear, fact-based reporting for the relevant governance bodies
- Support and animate defined executive meetings (Vorstand, OpCo, StratCo) by managing their cycles / rhythms
- Propose topics and agendas aligned with overall strategic calendar and priorities
- Secure high-quality preparation, guide speakers and ensure right level of content / messages
- Participate to these meetings, provide aligned and validated minutes of meetings, systematically follow up execution of decision and actions
- Contribute to strategic projects
- Support S&I Function or Department Leader by contributing to selected strategic projects or ad-hoc initiatives, as required
Your profile
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales / Marketing / Strategy / Consulting roles, ideally in international matrix organization
- Business / industry expertise: 5-10 years of experience in Low Voltage (LV) market or similar B2B2C industry, with Diffuse & Project models is a strong advantage
- Proven experience in designing, owning or governing strategy processes or projects, especially the execution thereof
- Demonstrated exposure to executive‑level managment (i.e. Vorstand, Board, GLT, StratCo, OpCo, Sales leaderships levels), including preparation of decision materials and follow‑up
- Strong experience in cross-functional coordination across diverse functions, workstreams and countries
- Customer centric, close of the field
- Strong ability to structure complex topics, translate strategy into clear processes, governance, and actionable roadmaps
- Solid understanding of strategy execution frameworks (e.g. Hoshin Kanri, portfolio management, OKRs, or equivalent) is a strong advantage
- Capability in process design and continuous improvement
- Ability to drive alignment and challenge constructively
- Comfort working with KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics; high rigor in follow up, tracking and execution discipline
- Strong communication skills with ability to synthesize complexity to clear messages tailored to executive stakeholders
- High level of credibility and confidence in executive settings
